Dieser Eckkugelhahn besteht hauptsächlich aus einem Ventilkörper, einer Ventilkugel, einem Ventilschaft, einem Dichtungsring, einem Ventildeckel und einem Griff. Der L-förmige Ventilkörper ermöglicht eine effiziente Rohrleitungsanordnung an Eckpositionen und reduziert so die Rohrleitungslänge und die Anzahl der Biegungen. Der Dreiwege-Kugelhahn verfügt über ein T-förmiges Innenkanaldesign, das die Umleitung, Zusammenführung oder Umschaltung von Flüssigkeiten ermöglicht. Dreiwege-Kugelhähne reduzieren die Anzahl der Ventile im Rohrleitungsdesign erheblich und senken so die Installationskosten und Wartungsschwierigkeiten. Der Kugelhahn wird durch manuelles Drehen des Ventilschafts betätigt, wodurch sich die Ventilkugel um 90° dreht und das innere Durchgangsloch der Ventilkugel mit der Rohrleitung ausgerichtet wird, um den Flüssigkeitsfluss ein-/auszuschalten oder umzuschalten. Während Eckkugelhähne eine Rohrleitungsdrehung durch eine 90°-Biegung erreichen, erreichen Dreiwege-Kugelhähne Flüssigkeitsumleitungs- und Zusammenführungsvorgänge durch Drehen der Ventilkugel in verschiedenen Winkeln.
